Why the Republican Party will give President Obama 4 more years.

Why to the blue-blood republicans and the “establishment” try to force RINO’s on us every time. McCain was horrendous and even though Obama probably would have won against anybody the republicans put up. McCain guaranteed it. Now everywhere you turn you see Romney Romney Romney. We are told he is the only one that is electable. Who are they to tell us who is electable!. Poll after Poll show Herman Cain either ahead, a virtual tie or slightly behind. Why exactly is he un-electable?

Unfortunately I live in North Carolina, and because of the primary schedule the Nominees will already have been all but picked before I get to voice my opinion. We need to do away with the current primary/caucus system and have every state have the primaries on the same day. Then my primary vote wouldn’t be irrelevant and we might actually get a nominee with morals and principles.

That and many other reasons are why I am not a Republican any longer.

A unique and awesome gift idea

I'm Still standing

Well we are still all here including Harold Camping.

Guess he was wrong again. Please don't take me for a skeptic. The end is coming and every Knee will bow every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is lord.

When will it happen? I don't know. I do know that no man knows and anyone that says he does is a liar and the truth is not in him.

If a prophet’s words do not come true, he is a false prophet. We should disregard all his testimony for he is not of the Lord. The Old Testament demands we stone him. I am in no way calling for Mr. Camping’s death, God will take him soon enough. It boggles my mind why anyone still listens to him, or even worse give him all of their money.

There are many interpretations as thoughts on the end times. Who is right? Probably none of us. Some are just more right than others. For my view see my blog post: "The End is Near…" May 24, 2001

This is it...

The end is nigh.

The end of the world is today, since I am still here I can only assume it will end soon it is almost midnight in GMT. Or is it ending on Florida time? Alaska? Fiji? I am not sure. But today is the day so this is my Farwell post.
See you all in heaven; I won’t be in the other place.

2012 and the demise of the Republican party

On the way to work today I was listening to talk radio like I usually do. What really struck me is how even supposedly conservative talk radio hosts are pushing the watered down “moderate” conservative and discounting other candidates.
Herman Cain is ahead in many polls, but they treat him like he is your crazy uncle that comes over and says funny stuff then everyone says, oh there goes crazy uncle Herman again, and laugh it off. I am getting sick of it.
They tout electability all the time. Who are they to determine electability? The media and that includes conservative media think we are all a bunch of rubes that need to be told what to think. Stop insulting us. While I will admit the majority of Americans are woefully uninformed and a good portion of the voting public are not informed, that doesn’t mean we can’t decide who is electable. If Herman Cain is ahead in the polls, guess what, the people want him!
I would love to see Ron Paul or Herman Cain as our nominee. I would gladly support either one. But if the republicans put forward Mitt Romney then all we will be doing is guaranteeing four more years for President Obama. John McCain was unelectable because he had more in common with Ted Kennedy than any other republican. Romney will lose because he is almost indistinguishable from Obama.
We want and we demand a change in Washington. Our government has long gone away from being “a government of the people, for the people and by the people” to being “a government in spite of the people, for the government, and by the government”. We need to get back to the basics. Our Federal Government is too big, too powerful and too corrupt. Americans no longer understand that we are a union of 50 individual “States” each State is a separate entity joined together with other States for teh common good to form a union of states. The constitution limits the Federal Government to a very specific mandate and frees the States to rule themselves. Why did we forget this?

I am a racist!

If you know me, this may come as a shock to you but I found out yesterday that I am in fact a racist. Yep, you read that right. I was watching my favorite TV commentator Keith Olbermann and he had my favorite comedienne Janeane Garofalo on. She said I support Herman Cain to hide the fact that I am a racist.

I thought I supported him because of his conservative no-nonsense ideas. I thought it was because unlike most politicians, I believe what he says, I thought it was because I believe in his vision and that he has the sense to carry it out.

Nope. I am a racist.

I did not vote for President Obama. The reasons I did not vote for him are many, but mainly because I disagreed with his vision and his policies as vague as they were. None of the many reasons I did not vote for him was his skin color. If you voted for or against President Obama because he was black that is racist.

Janeane, you don't know me. You are a race baiter and you are not very funny. Stick to comedy, work on your act and come talk to me then.
